NPO Energomash reported that the reusable block of the Angara-A5 is designed for ten flights. The central engine will be activated three times in one flight. The rocket will receive four landing supports that are triggered before landing.

The company has also developed a line of RD-180 engines (a two-component liquid rocket engine with a closed cycle, has two combustion chambers and two nozzles - editor's note www1.ru) for reusable applications. The RD-180 was developed with US funds for the Atlas V rocket, but Russia has the right to use this engine in its space programs.

Earlier, a subsidiary of UVZ supplied special tanks to Vostochny for fuel transportation.
