The state corporation "Rostec" has announced plans to include miniature drones in soldiers' gear in 2024. This concerns the third-generation "Legionnaire" equipment, which is being developed by the subsidiary concern "Kalashnikov."
The head of the concern, Alan Lushnikov, noted that "Kalashnikov" will expand the range of drones produced for the new equipment. This includes reconnaissance drones and loitering munitions.
In addition to the drone control system, "Legionnaire" will feature increased protection. It is a modular unloading system built on the principle of LEGO. The prototype of the equipment received positive feedback and is currently being refined based on customer feedback.
