The domestic concern "Kalashnikov", together with specialists from the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering, is developing a new generation of military equipment called "Legionnaire".
A drone control system will be added to it. This was announced by the company's president, Alan Lushnikov.
We are talking about the third generation of equipment. This is "Legionnaire". A very large, serious job, it will take more than one year. But there are already prototypes, and we are actively refining them
According to him, the engineers are tasked with integrating the control of micro- and minidrones, as well as autonomous vehicles, into the equipment. We are talking about reconnaissance and combat drones.
Currently, the concern's employees are working to make the drones compact and easy to carry. "Legionnaire" will also introduce drone control systems that are resistant to electronic warfare (EW) equipment.
Earlier it became known that the "Kalashnikov" concern is working on increasing the warhead of the "Kub" kamikaze drone, which was first presented to the public in 2019. Now the drone is actively used by Russian military personnel.
