A new specialized department, "Electronic Warfare," is opening at the Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University (NovSU). The first stream of students will be admitted there in the 2024-2025 academic year.
The initiators of the opening of the department are the scientific and production association "Kvant" of the KRET subsidiary of the Rostec State Corporation. Students will undergo the design of airborne and ground-based devices and systems of electronic warfare, the design of electronic warfare equipment against drones, and a number of highly specialized subjects.
Employees of the enterprise with extensive practical experience in the implementation of modern projects of the electronic industry will share their knowledge of special disciplines. The new generation of Russian EW specialists will undergo practical training directly at the Kvant enterprise.
For Kvant, which works with special equipment, military equipment, and civilian products such as high-tech bionic hand prostheses, this is not the first experience in training young personnel. 58 new specialists are already studying in targeted areas in Veliky Novgorod and St. Petersburg, who are paid an additional scholarship from the enterprise. After they graduate, they will be helped to find employment.
