The Russian company Atom, which is developing the electric vehicle of the same name, has revealed the technical characteristics of its own platform. It consists of a load-bearing body and chassis, a compact electric motor and a traction battery.
The platform will have dimensions of 3995 x 1780 x 1615 and a ground clearance of 170 mm. Wheel parameters - 215 x 55 R17 to R19.
The Atom development received rear-wheel drive, a front MacPherson suspension, and a rear multi-link independent suspension. The turning radius on the Atom base will be 4.9m.
The electric vehicle will receive a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery (developed by Atom and "Renera"). It will be assembled at a new "gigafactory" in Kaliningrad. Thanks to this battery, the electric vehicle will have a range of 500 km.
Manufacturers promise that "Atom" owners will be able to reliably charge their vehicles at least 1000 times. At the same time, the battery will charge up to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Earlier, Atom showed a new steering wheel for its electric vehicle.
