Specialists of the Nevsky Shipyard handed over to the customer the first dry cargo ship of the RSD59 project "Pola Kalista" with Russian rudder propellers DRK1200M, the USC press service reported.
The columns were designed by employees of NPO "Vint", and manufactured at the Vega plant. The equipment is designed in such a way as not to make significant changes to the technical design of the vessel. It is noted that the rudder propellers are not inferior to foreign analogues.
Before installation on the ship, the columns were tested in an experimental pool. The tests confirmed the reliability of the equipment. In addition, DRK1200M withstood the test of the Neva ice.
Earlier, a leading design engineer of the Baltic Shipyard spoke about the prospects for the development of the construction industry of nuclear icebreakers in Russia.
