USC has launched sea trials for the new passenger vessel "Iniya", named after the Amazonian freshwater dolphin.
NIPTB "Onega", commissioned by USC's subsidiary "Mashpromleasing", has finalized the design of the "Sotalia" cargo-passenger project, which began operating from Nizhny Novgorod in the summer.
"Iniya" is part of the USC line of vessels for organizing urban and suburban river passenger transportation with domestic components and equipment and maximum localization. The vessel is adapted for passengers with limited mobility with wheelchairs and other special means of transportation and can carry up to 54 passengers.
By the new navigation season, USC is preparing several new civil shipbuilding projects. In particular, the "Aurum" paddle passenger ship, built by specialists from the "Lotos" production site (Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center), will start operating on the Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod route.
