The Bauman Moscow State Technical University was involved in the development of design documentation, the Russian University of Special Forces and the NOT defense company, associated with anti-aircraft installations, were involved in creating ideal technical characteristics. Mass production of "Jihad-Machines" is planned to be launched in 2024 on the basis of "Chechenavto."

This will be the second sample of military equipment produced in the republic. Prior to this, the Argun "Chechenavto" began production of military buggies under the name "Chaborz M-3" in 2016.

The design was developed by F-Motorsport near Moscow and the Gudermes International Training Center for Special Forces. The three-seater version can carry about two hundred and fifty kilograms of payload: a PKM 7.62 machine gun with ammunition, an AGS30 grenade launcher and a BTD smoke screen module.

Many parts, including the 1.6-liter engine, weighing almost 400 kilograms, were inherited from VAZ. The first copies were assembled in Chechnya according to the SKD scheme, after which a transition to small-unit assembly with independent welding of the spatial frame and manufacturing of some suspension elements was announced.
