The "Ruselectronics" holding presented anti-drone equipment abroad for the first time at the EDEX 2023 International Defense Exhibition in Cairo.
The "Zashchita" mobile system, which operates at 360 degrees, was sent to the exhibition. It includes a passive radar system, radio monitoring equipment, and a REP "Serp-VS" device.
"Zashchita" is intelligent: it can distinguish between the drones of the protected object and not touch them, disabling only the intruder drones.
The passive radar system can detect the approach of aircraft, including radio-silent ones, at a distance of up to 11.3 km. At the same time, it is invisible to other people's radar equipment.
Radio monitoring equipment is also invisible to third-party radar. It determines exactly what is approaching the protected object: an airplane, a helicopter, or a quadcopter. Radio monitoring can also reveal where this foreign object is controlled from.
Next, the "Serp-VS5" suppression system is activated. It provides suppression of the threat by suppressing signals from satellites and the control panel at frequencies from 900 MHz to 1.5 GHz.
You can also install "Serp-VS6" on the mobile system - it has an expanded range of impact on UAVs up to 430 MHz in the version.
"Zashchita" impressed the Egyptian side. The "Vector" Research Institute of the "Ruselectronics" holding, which owns the development, has already concluded a contract with one of the Egyptian electronics manufacturing companies.
Within the framework of the signed agreement, the parties will organize interaction, the purpose of which is to increase production volumes and promote UAV combat equipment developed by the "Vector" Research Institute in Africa.
