The Russian concern Rostec presented an improved version of the Ka-32A11M firefighting helicopter at the international venue in Dubai, created under the auspices of the subsidiary holding "Russian Helicopters". This debut on the international stage was a significant step for the modernized version of this rotary-wing machine.
The main improvements of the Ka-32A11M include:
▪️ New Russian engines controlled by a digital system.
▪️ Digital flight and navigation system, increasing the efficiency of helicopter control.
▪️ Modern firefighting equipment and emergency rescue tools.
An important element of the helicopter's equipment is the latest Russian SP-32 firefighting system. It can hold up to 4000 liters of water and up to 400 liters of foam. However, the main breakthrough is the possibility of electric heating of water, which ensures effective fire extinguishing at negative temperatures down to -20°C - a function implemented for the first time in the world.
The Ka-32A11M is equipped with a water cannon, which allows for horizontal firefighting on the upper floors of high-rise buildings and in the oil and gas industry, including heavy smoke conditions.
The presented helicopter aroused great interest among experts and specialists in the field of aviation, which emphasizes its potential in effectively combating fires.
Prior to this, another brainchild of "Russian Helicopters" - the BAS-200 unmanned helicopter also attracted the attention of visitors to Dubai Aviashow.
