Moscow's Big Circle Line (БКЛ) double-track tunnels have been included in the "Russian Book of Records" as the longest. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on his social media.
This achievement is the result of the hard work of many designers, builders, and other specialists. They laid more than 11.5 km of double-track tunnels in the west and east of the Big Circle, where the new line crosses major bodies of water. The longest underwater sections are between the "Klenovy Bulvar", "Nagatinsky Zaton", and "Pechatniki" stations.
Overall, he noted that the creation of the Big Circle Line took ten years. And this is extremely little for an object of such scale and complexity.
