Unmanned farming: Manturov spoke about how Russian farmers use drones

Manturov: drones operate on the principle of precision farming

Projects related to unmanned transport are actively developing in Russia, within the framework of which drones are used in agriculture. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov at the "Knowledge" marathon.

One of the largest Russian software (SW) developers for the autonomous operation of agricultural machinery is Cognitive Pilot. Its software is installed on combine harvesters and tractors of "Gomselmash", St. Petersburg Tractor Plant (PTZ).

According to a report from the InterAgroTech Association, following the first agricultural company, unmanned vehicles, including Kirovets tractors (manufactured at PTZ), helped farms save about 30% of the costs of fertilizers, seeds, and fuel and lubricants.
