В Подмосковье и Казани построят пять заводов по переработке мусора в электричество

They will be launched by the end of 2025

RT-Invest, a subsidiary of the Rostec State Corporation, is building five new waste processing plants in the Moscow region and Kazan. The waste will be used to generate electricity.

The waste will be sorted first. Iron and metals separately, everything else separately.
The first plant will open in early 2024 near Voskresensk. This and other plants will be equipped with unique domestic equipment: from turbines to filters for capturing solid particles after waste incineration.

The production is almost waste-free. Only about three percent of harmful ash remains from the entire mass of waste, which is then cemented.
As previously announced by RT-Invest, one such plant in the Moscow region can process about 700 thousand tons of waste per year. It will supply 485 million kWh of electricity to the grid.

This amount of electricity is enough for 250 thousand people, or a small town with a population of approximately 100 thousand people.
