Самый маленький и ветроустойчивый – в России появился дрон для проверки посадки и навигации в аэропортах

It is several times cheaper than foreign counterparts. But it surpasses them

Engineers and programmers from the Chelyabinsk company "Kursir" have presented the world's smallest unmanned aircraft system (UAS) for checking landing and navigation systems at airports.

The drone, measuring only 30 by 30 cm, can withstand gusts of wind up to 25 m/s. Larger drones cannot do this.

The UAS checks the main landing and navigation systems of aircraft – for example, ILS, VOR, Marker – and promptly transmits a signal if something is wrong. The cost of one such drone is almost $1 million. But this is several times cheaper than imported counterparts.
