The International Federation of Robotics presented a report for 2022, according to which sales of service robots increased by 48% compared to 2021 amid a shortage of employees.
It is noted that 86,000 robots were sold to help in the field of transport and logistics (+44% compared to 2021). Also, different countries around the world have noted interest in robots from the hospitality industry - tourism, restaurant business and entertainment. In this sector, sales grew by 125% (24,500 robots were sold).
For the needs of agriculture, 8,000 robots were purchased (an increase of 18%). 6,900 new robots began to help with cleaning the house in 2022, which is 8% more than the figure a year earlier.
The United States ranked first in terms of the number of companies producing service robots (more than 200). China is in second place (about 100), and Germany (85 companies) is also in the top three. Russia is not among the top ten countries in terms of the number of manufacturers of service robots. We have only 33 such companies.
