A new attraction has appeared in Moscow for National Unity Day – the "ATOM" pavilion has opened at VDNKh.
Sergei Sobyanin attended the opening ceremony of the pavilion and inspected its exposition together with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko, and Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev.
Pavilion No. 19 occupies seven floors, three of which are underground. Two thousand people can visit the pavilion's exposition at the same time. This is the largest educational platform in Russia.
The underground pavilions show the development of atomic science during the Soviet period; as you go up, you can see its development.
New technologies and forward-looking developments are located on the upper floors of the exposition.
At the very top is the only observation deck in the VDNKh and a restaurant.
In addition to the exposition, the pavilion has a conference hall. It will host lectures by scientists, meetings with popularizers of science and representatives of the nuclear industry. There is also a laboratory for master classes and visual experiments.
For tourists, there is a cafe, a souvenir shop, a sports area and a children's playroom.
Admission to the "ATOM" pavilion will be free until April 12, 2024, while the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" is taking place at VDNKh.
