The Ministry of Digital Development has launched a new service on "Gosuslugi". Now you can check the validity of a client's or partner's passport during a transaction or other circumstances where you need to be sure of the person's identity.
How to check a passport
You need to open the "Gosuslugi" service, enter the series and number of the passport, the last name and first name indicated in the document, and click "Continue".
If the passport is valid and authentic, the status "valid" will appear. If the passport is authentic but expired, then "invalid", if the passport is fake, the status "data not found" will be displayed.
If a valid user's passport is marked as "invalid", then you need to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs in person or online so that they can make corrections to the database.
