So, they left the automatic gearbox with a five-speed manual the same. But it is known that a Chinese variator will replace it, the manufacturer's company is not named.
The replacement means that "Lada Vesta NG" will have higher efficiency, lower fuel consumption, smoothness of movement, and rapid acceleration. But the variator wears out faster than an automatic gearbox.
However, brake pads, also from China, will wear out faster. Now, due to a design change of the front calipers and brake pads, the latter has a larger contact area with the disk.
And the thickness of the brake lining of the "Lada Vesta NG" became only 6 mm instead of 12 mm on the "Lada Vesta".
The air conditioner compressor of the new car is also Chinese, as well as entire drive from Chinese "Shandong HUFS Group".
Chinese localization is likely in the future for the clutch kit, engine block cooling unit, and heating unit. They are from the French company Valeo, which has already left Russia. So, these parts will also require either import substitution, which is not yet there, or new foreign partners, the most probable of which is China.
