Employees of the "Moskvich" automobile plant have prepared the body painting shop for the start of small-unit assembly, which will begin in 2024. Tests have confirmed the quality of the work performed.
As explained in the company's press service, "Moskvich" has chosen local suppliers of paints and varnishes (we are talking about a range of five colors for "Moskvich 3" and "Moskvich 3e"). Automatic equipment adjusters have developed new trajectories for the movement of the body, as well as robots, so that the coating is applied evenly.
It is noted that the plant also wants to paint most of the plastic parts of the manufactured cars. From the second quarter of next year, the "Moskvich 3" and "Moskvich 3e" models will be produced by small-unit assembly. This will help to increase the level of production localization. Now "Moskvich" has switched to Russian technical fluids and accessories for cars.
Earlier, the management of "Moskvich" named the main condition for price reduction. According to the commercial director Alexander Migal, with a sufficient level of localization, the brand will cease to depend on currency fluctuations, and prices will stabilize.
