The Common Purpose Communication Network Monitoring and Control Center (CMU CCOP) shared at the Spectrum-2023 forum the successes of the automated internet security system (AIS). It operates through technical means of counteracting threats (TMCT) within the framework of implementing the sovereign Runet law.
Over this year, according to the director of the CMU CCOP Sergey Khutorcev, it helped to block or limit the operation for 167 VPNs and more than 200 mail services, which posed a threat to the stability, security, and integrity of the communication network.
Also, AIS was able to block or limit the operation of:
- over 590 thousand information resources;
- over 2 thousand phishing sites;
- over 84 applications and more than 20 malware distribution centers.
In its work, the system has a 'white list' which includes over 17.5 thousand IP addresses. AIS covers almost 100% of operator traffic. Every second it handles traffic at a speed greater than 100 Tbps.
