The Russian Aerospace Forces received a batch of Mi-26T2V helicopters, which are considered the best in the world. This is not only the most heavy-lift helicopter, but also the most multifunctional and resistant to any conditions.
The Mi-26T2V is assembled on the basis of the Mi-26, which is the largest rotorcraft in the world.
It differs from its predecessor in its ability to operate in any climate and at any time of the day, including in combat conditions. The Mi-26T2V is equipped with an integrated complex of NPK90-2V airborne radio-electronic equipment.
This avionics allows you to automatically perform a flight along a route, exit to a predetermined point, approach for landing, as well as pre-landing maneuvering and return to the main or alternate airfield. On board the Mi-26T2V there is its own Vitebsk airborne defense system, capable of resisting attacking weapons with infrared homing heads.
The signaling equipment of the Mi-26T2 is adapted for the use of night vision goggles, and new energy-absorbing crew seats are installed in the helicopter cabin.
Improvements have also been made to the navigation system, satellite communications, and emergency rescue equipment.
Its carrying capacity is the same as that of a simple Mi-26. It can lift 25 tons to a height of 4,100 meters. Or almost 90 paratroopers in combat gear. So far, this record has not been broken at the world level.
