A new cargo drone "Spider-30" has been developed in Karelia. The development of the Ilma Engineering Center weighs only 15 kilograms, but it can lift its own weight, extinguish fires, carry cargo and help agriculture.

The development of the first Karelian serial drone was financially supported by the Republican Venture Investment Fund.

According to IA "TASS", the drone stays in the air on a single charge for up to 50 minutes. It can rise to a height of up to 2.5 kilometers and fly up to 40 kilometers if necessary. "Spider-30" has already received registration from Rosaviation and is ready to go into mass production, but so far its localization is only 40% complete.

Ilma plans to increase the number of domestic parts in the drone and is already developing its own domestic software for it. The range of drones from Karelian engineers will expand: they have plans for new models of air, surface and underwater vehicles.

Personnel for drone control will also be trained on the basis of this IC.
