The production of electronic stability control systems (ESC) in Russia will start in November 2023, according to the CEO of NPP Itelma Alexey Vorobyov, he told the Russian Newspaper. According to him, they will start regular production of the products in December.
From the beginning of 2024, production will operate at full capacity
The first Russian ESC will be installed on Lada Vesta. It is also known that NPP Itelma has been producing ABS - a system that prevents wheel lock while braking - since summer.
ESC is related to the active safety system of the car, it prevents skidding because the computer controls the moment of wheel force. The development of domestic ABS and ESC is carried out within the framework of import substitution and localization of production.
Earlier it was announced that NPP Itelma will also start the production of 6-th class precision printed circuit boards.
