"Rostec" moves Venezuela to the Russian ticket reservation system "Leonardo"

A domestic system provides a high level of security for passengers' personal data, and is maximally resistant to cyber attacks and hacking

At "Rostec", they began to train Venezuelan carriers from Conviasa to use the Russian software for airlines "Leonardo". Specialists from "Sirena-Travel", who together with the state corporation created "Leonardo", participate in the training too.

Venezuela has become the first Latin American country to use Russian aviation software.

According to data from the press service of "Rostec", the implementation of the Russian system in Venezuela is scheduled for early 2024.

The advantage of our solution is that it ensures a high level of security for passengers' personal data and is resistant to cyber attacks and hacking. "Leonardo" will allow the airline to increase the safety of flights and eliminate the threat of disconnection from reservation systems by unfriendly states.

Deputy Head of "Rostec" Alexander Nazarov

More than 60 airlines in Russia started working with "Leonardo" after the exit of the Swiss IT giant SITA from the Russian market in the summer of 2023. It is not a monopolist for Russia: there is also the ORC solution, which S7 Airlines works with.

Abroad, the Russian software "Leonardo" is used in Belarusian, Armenian, and Kyrgyz airlines.
