The Belarusian plant Belkommunmash and the Hydrogen Technology Center (CVT) of AFC Sistema are developing hydrogen trucks, said the head of CVT, Yuri Dobrovolsky.
According to him, special attention is paid to hydrogen fuel cells with liquid cooling with a capacity of 100 kW, which are made mainly from Russian components (with the exception of one part, it is produced in Japan). Dobrovolsky added that Belkommunmash and CVT also plan to produce electrolyzers and hydrogen storage systems.
According to MashTech, hydrogen trucks are being created on the basis of the Belarusian concept Vitovt Truck Electro Prime. It is expected that the heavy truck will be able to travel up to 1000 km on a hydrogen generator.
The approximate price of such a transport with a carrying capacity of 12 tons is up to 30 million rubles, depending on the configuration. It is noted that by the end of next year a batch of 20 hydrogen trucks will be ready.
Earlier it was reported that the first hydrogen electric vessel in Russia was tested on the Neva.
