Both received a new VAZ-21127-95 engine under the hood, with a volume of 1.6 l and power of 118 hp. It meets the Euro-2 standard and is designed for gas station 95.

The engine differs from its predecessors in a number of parameters. This is a new intake module where air intake is carried out right behind the radiator grille - it is 15% more efficient.

It includes new injectors, which are 38% more productive, and new camshafts, where the intake valve lift is greater by 1.95 mm, exhaust - greater by 1.55 mm. This improves cylinder filling, reduces air flow resistance, and increases engine power.

The exhaust system has also changed: it is straight-through with a split muffler. At the same time, the exhaust pipe diameter has been increased from 43 mm to 51 mm.

Another innovation is the increase in maximum revs up to 6900 rpm. Therefore, Lada Granta Sport can accelerate to 100 km/h in second gear.

It became known earlier that in the near future, NIFI will help AvtoVAZ develop electronics for cars. Together, they plan to design and create multimedia systems, digital instrument panels, and also develop software for the products of the Russian automaker.
