The production of Russian electric car "Atom" might start in Uzbekistan. This was announced on the sidelines of the third forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan.
Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Dmitry Volvach told reporters that Uzbek partners are interested not only in transferring part of the assembly of the Russian electric car to their territory. But also in localizing it completely on Uzbek territory.
Earlier, representatives of "KAMAZ", to which "Atom" belongs, said that most likely these electric cars will be produced at a plant in Moscow.
Russian car "Atom"
"Atom" is a Russian electric car, created by Kama JSC with the participation of KAMAZ PJSC. The prototype of the electric crossover has already been shown to the public and its features have been reviewed.
It is known that "Atom" will receive a traction battery of domestic production from one of the structures of "Rosatom". Its capacity will be 77 kWh with a power reserve of up to 500 km and a charging time of up to 8 minutes per 100 km. The electric car has a thermostat and thermal control system considering weather conditions.
"Atoms" will be supplied with the operating system ATOM OS, which can be controlled using a smartphone application. There will be several versions of the electric car, from one-seater to family.
The manufacturers have announced Atom testing for October 2023, the release of the first series samples for 2024, and production from conveyor belts for 2025. But even now, the Russian development is of great interest: the car sharing service "Delimobil" plans to purchase 25,000 "Atoms". There are also other pre-orders.
