Российским военным передали «БАС-80» для испытаний

Two models of the "BAS-80" kamikaze drone were given to the "Tsar's Wolves" for testing

The Russian military has received "BAS-80" kamikaze drones for special testing, Evgeny Dudorov, Managing Director of NPO "Android Technics", told RIA "Novosti".

Two models of the "BAS-80" (made of carbon fiber or fiberglass) were transferred to the "Tsar's Wolves" in order to assess their effectiveness in real combat conditions. During operation, the military should identify optimal application scenarios and provide recommendations on the selection of components, taking into account the specifics of the tasks.

The "BAS-80" drones weigh only 1.7 kilograms due to the use of composite materials. Folding wings provide ease of transportation in a tube. A gunpowder charge is used to launch the drone. The drone can carry a payload of up to 500 grams with the possibility of increasing it to two kilograms. The maximum flight speed reaches 130 kilometers per hour, and the maximum altitude and range are 200 meters and 30 kilometers, respectively.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian robot "Marker" can act as a drone carrier for the "BAS-80", but the machine has not yet been supplied to the Russian army.
