The Director of the Association of Professional Social Media and Messenger Users, Vladimir Zykov, posted on his Telegram channel a photo of the domestic smartphone "R-PHONE".
There was already information in the media that NTC IT "ROSA" is preparing its phone with the operating system "ROSA Mobile". Now I have details and, importantly, the smartphone itself! It will be called "R-PHONE".
The smartphone will be aimed at the mass consumer (preliminary cost is around 40 thousand rubles). It will be assembled in Zelenograd, the case will be labeled Made in Russia.
Obviously, some parts will not be made in Russia, but there have never been such phones made in Russia with such localization.
As for the operating system "ROSA Mobile", it is based on Linux and, according to Zykov, it represents "something between iOS and Android". It is logical to assume that "ROSA Mobile" is built on AOSP Android, and iOS is reminiscent only of the interface.
"R-PHONE" will become available for the corporate sector and government customers in 2023, and the new product will go on retail sale in 2024.
