25 Large Cruise Boats with a Cool Design to Be Built in Russia. Price of Each Is 300 Million Rubles

They will use electric motors

The Emperium shipyard (part of Sitronics AFC Sistema) will build a new series of electric passenger cruise ships called "Moscow 2.0." Construction of the lead ship will begin in the fall, and it will be launched in the capital in 2024.

The new electric vessels will be larger than those already operating in Moscow, similar in size to the "Ecocruiser" series, but with a different design. The "Moscow 2.0" will be 30-35 m long and about 8 m wide.

In total, the shipyard will build 25–26 vessels, each costing about 300 million rubles. MashTech sources report that the purchase will be financed through the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK). GTLK itself did not confirm the purchase of "Moscow 2.0," but said that the company does plan to expand its presence in the electric water transport segment.

In total, GTLK plans to order 260 vessels from Russian shipyards by 2027, with a total investment of 231 billion rubles. Of these, 136 billion rubles will come from the National Welfare Fund.
