Engineers from Skoltech created the MorphoLander drone, which can not only fly, but also walk on the surface on four "legs". At the same time, in the upper part there are two platforms that resemble mini-airports - for two micro-drones. The weight of the MorphoLander is 10 kg, the weight of the micro-drones is 27 grams.
The development is interesting, but not yet free from flaws. For instance, the battery of the drone carrier lasts only for 12 minutes. And it walks somehow not very confidently. Nevertheless, the creators believe that the MorphoLander can be useful during the inspection of various objects and for searching for victims during natural disasters.
Judging by the video, the MorphoLander itself is a hexacopter. The presence of six screws is due to its considerable weight.
