As reported by "Russian Newspaper", referring to AVTOVAZ itself, the domestic car manufacturer does not plan to increase the cost of its basic, budget and most localized car models. Obviously, this is about Lada Granta and Lada Niva Legend. But other cars of the company may become more expensive.
A certain price adjustment is possible for more equipped modifications, primarily due to their addition with extra options obtained from both foreign and certain domestic suppliers who get sub-components and raw materials from abroad.
Meanwhile, AVTOVAZ noted that the possible price adjustment is not related to an increase in the scrappage fee. It's still not clear when exactly AVTOVAZ might raise prices for its cars, but it has been reported in the media that the increase might take place as early as August 20.
Currently, the minimum prices for AVTOVAZ cars (according to the price list on the official website) are: Lada Granta - 692,300 rubles, Lada Vesta - 1,239,900 rubles, Lada Niva Legend - 821,900 rubles, Lada Niva Travel - 1,042,900 rubles.
In 7 months of 2023, Russian Lada dealers sold almost 173,000 cars, which is twice the number for the same period in 2022. By the end of the year, the company intends to produce about 400,000 cars.
