According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, citing AvtoVAZ itself, the domestic automaker does not plan to increase the cost of basic, budget and most localized models of its cars. This obviously refers to Lada Granta and Lada Niva Legend. But the rest of the company's cars may become more expensive.
A slight price adjustment is possible for more equipped versions, primarily due to their configuration with additional options received, including from foreign suppliers and some domestic suppliers who receive subcomponents and raw materials from abroad.
At the same time, AvtoVAZ noted that the possible price adjustment is not related to an increase in the recycling fee. When exactly AvtoVAZ may raise prices for its cars is not yet clear, but earlier media reports said that the price increase may take place as early as August 20.
At the moment, the minimum prices for AvtoVAZ cars (according to the price list on the official website) are: Lada Granta - 692,300 rubles, Lada Vesta - 1,239,900 rubles, Lada Niva Legend - 821,900 rubles, Lada Niva Travel - 1,042,900 rubles.
In 7 months of 2023, Russian Lada dealers sold almost 173 thousand cars, which is twice as high as in the same period of 2022. By the end of the year, the company intends to produce about 400 thousand cars.
