A source from TASS, close to the Russian Aerospace Force command, reported that the state tests of the heavy strike UAV 'Hunter' will be completed this year. Next is the launch in series.
According to existing plans, the state tests of the 'Hunter' should be completed by the end of the current year, and from the beginning of 2024 series production will be deployed with delivery to the troops. The contract provides for the supply of several dozen aircraft.
S-70 'Hunter' is developed in 'Sukhoi OKB', and will be produced at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after Chkalov (part of the United Aircraft Corporation 'Rostec').
The length of the 'Hunter' is 14 m, wingspan - 19 m. Take-off weight is almost like a fighter - 25 tons. There are no exact data about the weight of the combat load: there are data about 2.8 and 8 tons. It is expected that the maximum speed will exceed 1000 km/h, and the flight range will be 6 thousand km.
The drone will carry guided missiles, guided and unguided bombs in the internal compartment, as well as on the suspension.
