«Roscosmos» announced that a model of the newest Russian rocket «Corona» will be presented at the «Army-2023» forum next week.
«Corona» will be a fully reusable single-stage vertical takeoff and landing launch vehicle. It will be able not only to deliver loads to orbit, but also to return them to Earth. Additionally, «Corona» can be used as a transport vehicle during suborbital flights.
At present, the enterprise is conducting research work to confirm the main key technologies of the creation of the launch vehicle "Corona" with the involvement of leading institutes and enterprises of Roscosmos.
As previously reported by Vladimir Degtyar, head of the state rocket center named after academician V. P. Makeev, «Corona» will ensure extremely low cost of payload launch into orbit due to the fact that it can be launched into orbit up to 100 times.
