In an interview with TASS, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov spoke about the amount of funds planned to be allocated from the National Welfare Fund for the creation of new domestic passenger aircraft – Tu-214 and MC-21.
About 280 billion rubles will be allocated for the MC-21, and 41.8 billion [rubles] for the Tu-214.
The Minister of Finance emphasized that the funds of the National Welfare Fund are spent only on large infrastructure projects that contribute to the development of the economy.
This includes aircraft and shipbuilding, the Moscow - Kazan highway (M-12), the Central Transport Hub, and leasing of domestic aircraft. That is, money from the NWF goes to the development of the economy, to projects that are most important for the technological independence of the country.
