The Russian data leak intelligence and darknet monitoring service DLBI (Data Leakage & Breach Intelligence) shared some interesting statistics: it turns out that the volume of data leaks about Russians in the first half of 2023 exceeded the total number of Russians.
As analysts point out, in the first half of 2023 there were 60 major leaks, containing 188.7 million customer records (e-mails or phone numbers of customers) of Russians. The leaders of the anti-rating are the bonus program "SberThankYou" (52.4 million leaked records) and the network "Sportmaster" (45.9 million records). Also from major leaks can be noted educational platform "Russian electronic school" (9 million records) and "Agency of Strategic Initiatives" (500 thousand records).
As we can see from the list of leaks, Russian companies (both large and small) continue to ignore this problem, and regulators are limited to declarative tightening of legislation, which is not applied in practice.
