At the North Caucasus Federal University, they told about a new development - a communication protocol resistant to cyberattacks for the 'Smart City' system.
The advantages of the development include the resistance of the sensor network to attacks of various types, including unauthorized interception, message falsification, errors, connection failures at nodes and the network, loss of information in case of attacks or accidents.
Our scientists have developed intelligent systems that ensure data security and speed of processing routes. The implementation of this development in practice will allow rational management of the city economy and improve the quality of people's lives.
The new protocol is based on modification of the MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) network routing. In the new protocol, when encrypting information, the key is shared among all devices, so if unauthorized access is gained, the attackers will not have access to all the system information.
