Air connection with Georgia, which was interrupted in 2019, has resumed: today the first plane flew from Sochi to Tbilisi. The flights were launched by the Red Wings airline. Originally, the flight was scheduled for 14:00, but it was slightly delayed.

Let's remind, on May 10, Vladimir Putin signed decrees on the abolition of the visa regime for citizens of Georgia and the lifting of bans on flights of Russian airlines to Georgia, which has been in force since 2019. On May 15, Russian airlines asked Georgia for permission to make flights between the two countries. The first flight from Moscow to Georgia took place on May 19, it was performed by the Azimut airline. Since May 20, Georgian Airways flies to Russia.
