Regular air service has been restored between Russia and Cuba - the first flight took off today from Sheremetyevo to Varadero. It is carried out by the airline "Russia" on a Boeing-777 with a capacity of 457 passengers.

Sergey Starikov, the official representative of the airline "Russia", noted a high demand for tickets – while their price starts from 30 thousand rubles, and that is without luggage. Loading of the first flight was almost 100% The flight time between Moscow and Varadero is about 13 hours.

Flights will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays, and from September there will be three flights a week. It is important that tickets to Cuba can be purchased both independently and as part of a tour from "Biblio-Globus".

The air route Russia - Cuba is one of the oldest in the history of "Aeroflot". The first regular flight to Cuba was carried out on July 10, 1962 on the liner Tu-114. Air traffic with Cuba was interrupted in early 2022 due to sanctions against Russia.
