As part of SPIEF-2023 an agreement was signed between the company "Radar MMS" and the St.Petersburg Committee for Transport to supply five high-speed hydrofoil vessels “Meteor 120P” of a new generation.

Their purchase will cost the city 2.5 billion rubles, but only by the summer of 2024 will St. Petersburg get the new "Meteors”. However, this will allow the city to noticeably renew the fleet of hydrofoil vessels, the average age of which has exceeded 30 years.

"Meteor 120P" is really the new steamships. Ships with a displacement of 67 tons can accommodate 120 passengers, the crew is made up of 6 people. The length of the steamer is 35.8 meters, width - 9.2 meters, range - up to 600 km at speeds up to 65 km/h. Interestingly, each "Meteor 120P" is planned to be equipped with two MAN engines with a capacity of 1450 hp. However, the enterprise is already thinking about substituting imports.
