The geography of the "Mir" payment system is expanding. The new country where the cards of the Russian system has started functioning is Venezuela.
This was reported by the president of the central bank of Venezuela, Calixto Jose Ortega Sanchez. He also underscored that it doesn't matter what the USA and EU countries think about the financial cooperation of the Central Bank of Venezuela with the Central Bank of Russia. In response, Calixto Jose Ortega Sanchez reacted to the statements of the US Treasury, which stated that the National System of Payment Cards (NSPK) and the national payment system "Mir" can be used to circumvent sanctions.
At the moment, the "Mir" system operates in 10 countries, and more than 15 states have expressed their readiness to implement it.
