After the departure of global automakers from Russia, a shortage of business-class sedans has emerged in the country. Previously, one could choose from Toyota Camry, Kia K5, Hyundai Sonata, Volkswagen Passat, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5, and others, but now there is not much to choose from, if we are talking about official car deliveries. Therefore, selling the Chery Arrizo 8, presented today in Russia, will be easy – it has practically no competitors.
The sedan's dimensions are 4757 x 1832 x 1469 mm, with a wheelbase of 2770 mm. The front suspension of the Chery Arrizo 8 is an independent McPherson suspension, and the rear is a multi-link suspension. Under the hood of the Chery Arrizo 8 is a 1.6 TGDI engine with a capacity of 186 hp, which works in tandem with a 7-speed DCT robotic gearbox. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.9 seconds, and the maximum speed is 205 km/h.
The Chery Arrizo 8 has three configurations in Russia. The base Prestige – 3.4 million rubles, the middle Ultimate – 3.5 million rubles, the top-end Ultimate SE – 3.55 million rubles. The equipment of the configurations will be revealed closer to the start of sales.
