Russia's Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak spoke about the volume of civil drones produced in Russia in 2023. According to him, at least 6 thousand units of such UAVs will be produced.
"Based on the information we see, we forecast that the volume of BAS production in our country will be at least 6.1 thousand units, including all classes and types, but perhaps these figures will be higher", he said.
Interestingly, it will not be possible to compare the statistics of civil UAVs with the statistics of the past year, simply because there were no such data for 2022: according to the deputy minister, at that time it was not yet well developed and large-scale enough to keep individual statistics. At the same time, Shpak added that the drone creation industry will "definitely" be included in the industrial support scoring system in the near future.
