The Instrument Design Bureau (KBP, part of the High-Precision Complexes holding of Rostec) announced the testing of the modernized Hermes missile system in Russia.
«Hermes complex is being tested. The decision on delivery will be made based on the test results. Work on the modernization of the Hermes complex continues, taking into account the changing situation and tasks», the KBP said.
Hermes is designed to engage tanks, armored vehicles, structures, surface targets and low-speed aircraft at a range of up to 100 kilometers. The missile of the basic version develops a speed of up to 1.3 thousand meters per second and carries a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 28 kg. Hermes can be installed on any medium or large tonnage automobile chassis.
