The holding company "High-Precision Systems" (part of "Rostec") reported the successful completion of the pilot operation of the version of the guided artillery munition "Krasnopol" for use with drones. It is noted that it showed positive results during the tests.
In addition to the high-explosive fragmentation guided projectile, the "Krasnopol" includes a laser designator rangefinder, with the help of which the target is guided. The range of the ammunition reaches 20 km, the weight of the warhead is 8 kg. The Krasnopol target designator is capable of capturing up to three targets simultaneously. In the latest modification ("Krasnopol-M2"), the projectile has a caliber of 155 mm and a longer flight range (26 km). The accuracy of hitting small targets has also been increased.
