Cubans were interested in Russian UAZ cars to the extent that they are ready to organize large-scale production of two models - commercial UAZ "Profi" and "Bukhanka" in an ambulance version. The first car kits with UAZs will arrive in Cuba in July-August of this year. While in Cuba, not only assembly of such cars will be organized, but also service centers for their repair and maintenance will be set up.
UAZ cars are already being sold in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay. There are dealers of the Russian brand in Mexico, Honduras and the USA. In the USA, according to data from the official website, UAZs are sold by companies from Nevada and Florida.
There is less detail about the assembly of Russian cars in Ethiopia, but according to Russian Ambassador to Addis Ababa Evgeny Terekhin, such a possibility is being considered. Previously, GAZ planned to enter this market, not as a local manufacturer, but as an exporter of its products.
