Cubans became interested in Russian UAZ cars – so much so that they are ready to organize large-unit production of two models on their "Island of Freedom" – the commercial UAZ "Profi" and the "Bukhanka" in the ambulance version. The first car kits with UAZs will arrive in Cuba in July-August this year. At the same time, Cuba will not only organize the assembly of such cars, but also create service centers for their repair and maintenance.
UAZ cars are already sold in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay. Dealers of the Russian brand are in Mexico, Honduras and the USA. In the USA, according to data from the official website, UAZs are sold by companies from Nevada and Florida.
There are fewer details regarding the assembly of Russian cars in Ethiopia, but, according to the Russian Ambassador to Addis Ababa, Yevgeny Terekhin, this possibility is being considered. Previously, GAZ planned to enter this market, but not as a local manufacturer, but as an exporter of its products.
