Koblik Group Holding, owned by Egor Koblik, will become the new owner of the Russian John Deere plant located in Orenburg. The deal has not yet been finalized (the parties are agreeing on the terms), but rumors suggest that the purchase price of the enterprise will be 3.2 billion rubles.
John Deere, one of the world's most famous manufacturers of agricultural machinery, stopped supplying its solutions and spare parts to Russia in March 2022 against the backdrop of Ukrainian events. At the same time, the activities of the Russian plant ceased.
Koblik Group plans to invest hundreds of millions of rubles in the development of production and create 200 jobs by 2024. Initially, the company will organize the production of trailed machines, and subsequently establish the production of grain loaders and conveyor dryers.
Koblik Group already has four plants (in Voronezh, Smolensk, and Minsk) with a total staff of more than 1,500 people, and the holding also has a dealership business – the "Kuznitsa" company, which sells agricultural machinery from leading global brands.
