Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrushev stated that Russia expects to launch an electronic visa system by the end of June.
«We expect to launch an electronic visa by the end of June. It is no secret that Iran is on the list of priority countries to which such a visa is available by decision of the Russian government. Therefore, another available option for Iranian tourists will be obtaining an electronic visa. We hope to start issuing such visas from July», – said Vakhrushev.
Iran will be the first country for whose citizens electronic visas will be available, but not the only one. The list of such countries will be published later.
