The General Director of Obukhovskiy plant (part of the Almaz-Antey corporation) Mikhail Podvyaznikov reported that the defense enterprise will invest 35-37 billion rubles in re-equipping the Russian Toyota plant as part of preparations for the production of new equipment.

«About 35-37 billion rubles. These funds will be provided by the bank under a regular commercial loan. The start of the loan repayment, in my opinion, is in seven years», – told Mikhail Podvyaznikov.

This new equipment will be the electric crossover E-Neva, mass production of which should begin in 2026, and the tractor BAZ-S36A11. It also became known that starting next year at the plant, which once produced the popular in Russia RAV4 and Camry, they will start assembling L-type micromobiles.
