Next year in Russia, the sketch design of a spacecraft for the first Russian Venus mission "Venera-D" will begin. This was reported at "Roscosmos".
"At present, the work on the development of a technical proposal for the creation of the space complex "Venera-D" has been completed. Work on the development and release of a sketch project is planned to begin in January 2024", - said in the state corporation. They clarified there that at the moment work schedules for sketch design are being developed and "a council of chief designers is being formed".
The Russian program for studying Venus involves sending three probes, the first of which should be "Venera-D". The following mission will be "Venera-V", which we have already reported on.
